The weekend is almost here and we’re already making plans to eat some good food. (Thanks to our boring dabbas) In case, you don’t have plans to head out of the city, explore the new restaurants right here. We’ve compiled a list of the finest new restaurants to try out in the gallant city of Mumbai.
1. Foo, Lower Parel
We bet you must wonder why the name - ‘Foo’ in Chinese culture means “fortune” or “good luck”. Well, as luck would have it, they serve Asian cuisine with a side of chic interiors. Don’t believe us! The lighting is just right to take some great pictures. Based in Lower Parel this place is perfect to unwind after a long day at work. If you have to ask us, the Hazelnut Dome is a must-have!
2. Hammer & Song, Cuffe Parade
Dive straight into some great food and chilled out ambience at Hammer & Song. You can sip on beers while watching the live sports screenings that happen here. With tons of food options available, Hammer & Song is your one-stop restaurant for vegan food, gluten-free options and even Jain food.
3. Loco Loca, Andheri Lokhandwala
With elegant interiors to die for, Loco Loca is the ideal hangout for a lazy afternoon. From refreshing spritzers to gourmet burgers, this casual dining hotspot offers the best of Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine. Sip on some Rosé and indulge in the chocolate lava overload. You won’t be disappointed!
4. House Of Tipsy, Bandra
I hate to admit it but the delicious hot rod chicken served here is all that I hogged on. Not a vegetarian fan, but the achari aloo was another starter that I simply couldn’t stop munching on. Opened for brunches as well, House of Tipsy comes alive post 10 p.m. when everyone hits the dance floor. A must-visit for all!
5. Quarterdeck, Malad
Dingy interiors that will almost make you squint when you enter, Quarterdeck is not too expensive on the pocket. From seafood, chicken to mutton, you can keep the starters coming. This also makes it the perfect option to order a couple of starters to go along with your drinks.
6. Thangabali, Mahim
Craving maa ke haath ka khana? Especially seafood? Relish some delicious seafood prepared in Mangalorean, Kerala, and South Indian style. The puttu and Kadala curry will surely make you lick your fingers. If you don’t want to go out, you can get the tasty Payyoli chicken fry and Kola Urundai Mutton balls delivered home. You can thank us later!
